A scene of St Geneviève, standing facing left, robed and veiled, gazing upon the roofs and crenellated walls of a fortified town. Translation in French, 'St. Genevieve Veillant Sur Paris 451-1914' is Inscribed on the Top.

Saint Genevieve - She was born in Nanterre and moved to Paris after encountering Germanus of Auxerre and Lupus of Troyes and dedicated herself to Christian life. In 451 AD she led a "prayer marathon" that was said to have saved Paris by diverting Attila's Huns away from the city. When Childeric 1 besieged the city in 464 AD and conquered it, she acted as an intermediary between the city and its conqueror, collecting food and convincing Childeric to release his prisoners.
