 The Whitney #2 Banjo Clock Is an Interesting Timepiece with a Distinctive Design

The clock has a banjo-shaped case, which gives it its unique appearance. It stands about 29 inches tall, including the eagle finial. The clock features an unsigned brass 8-day movement with a balance wheel and pin-pallet type. This movement powers the clock and keeps time. The clock face is made of metal and has painted-on numerals. The tablet (the decorative middle panel below the clock face) has a print that appears original. The bottom compartment opens and provides a convenient place to store the winding key, and has a print that appears original. The clock case has a cherry finish.
